Lock replacements.
Professional lock replacements for every situation.
Your locks are your home's first line of defence against intruders. When they're not up to scratch, everything behind that door or window - your belongings, your family, your peace of mind - is more at risk than it should be.
The good news? Replacing your locks is one of the quickest, most effective ways to shore up your home's security. Here are the situations where it's worth doing:
Your existing lock is too old, worn, or damaged to repair
Your keys have been lost or stolen
You’ve moved into a new property, where it’s impossible to know how many copies of the keys are still in circulation
You’ve gone through a change in circumstances, such as a relationship breakdown or a tenant / roommate moving out, and want to restore full control over access
You’ve experienced a burglary - even if the lock wasn’t visibly damaged, there’s no way to know whether keys were taken or if the mechanism was compromised
You’re looking to upgrade to higher-security locks for improved protection

What happens during a lock replacement visit?
While no two jobs are exactly alike, here's the process we typically follow, step by step:
When you get in touch, we'll discuss why you're looking to replace your lock or locks (e.g. a fault, house move, or break-in) so we know exactly what to expect before we arrive.
We'll arrive at the agreed time to assess your existing door or window lock(s). If you're replacing it for reasons other than a fault (say, a house move), we can skip straight to discussing your options.
If there is a fault, we'll first see whether it can be repaired rather than replaced - we'd never recommend a full replacement if a simpler fix will sort it. If repair isn't possible, we'll move on to talking through replacements.
We'll run through suitable replacement options based on your security needs, preferences, budget, and timeframe. This could be a standard like-for-like swap or an upgrade to something higher security.
Where possible, we'll fit a suitable lock from our stock there and then. If you need or prefer a specific model, we'll order it in and arrange a quick return visit to fit it.
Once we’ve fitted your new lock, we'll test it thoroughly, check the alignment, and make any final adjustments so your door or window opens, closes, and locks exactly as it should.
